Zappus gather static electricity from the air and store it internally. It can jolt either prey or predators with a lethal shock of 20,000 volts. They are so full of electricity, any attempt to be eaten will result in the predator being shocked if it gets close enough. Being so unstable, they avoid rain at all costs to avoid dying from their own electricity.
